So what if I am
So what if it is
You’re wasting your time
You’re making me sick
You're pushing your luck
Keep pushing that button
And when I’m defenseless
You swing for the fences
They’re calling your number
That number, it’s yours
You see what you want to
You won’t see me no more
You won’t see me no more
When I walk out the door
You won’t see me no more
You won’t see me no more
They gave us a promise
I gave up the knife
You gave me your answer
Not gonna ask twice
We’ve lost all direction
We’re running on empty
Keep pushing those pedals
I’ll do my best at steering
Oh my God, am I dreaming?
So far from the city
Not a streetlight in sight
Oh, what a nightmare
Will we live through the night?
Will we freeze in the night?
Can we make it alright?
Will we live through the night?
Will we live through the night?
They’re calling your number
That number, it’s yours
You hear what you want to
I’m out like a light bulb
After a solar flare
I keep running the numbers
Two and then two together
There’s no head on my shoulders
There’s no pit in my cherry
Don’t pit my love against me
I don’t want to make war
Keep pushing that button
You won’t see me no more
You won’t see me no more
Please stop pushing me or
You won’t see me no more
You won’t see me no more
Working with Florist member Rick Spataro, Eva Louise Goodman delivers buoyant compositions that run the gamut of psych-pop, girl group, and folk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 23, 2023
The gentle lo-fi songs on the latest phoneswithchords LP develop their granular sketches of childhood and coming of age into full portraits. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 25, 2023
Charming German indie pop with the keen melodic sensibilities and melancholic undercurrent of some of the style's best practitioners. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 26, 2021

This album's just really good dude. It's packed to the brim with personality and love in both the album and the record itself. The songs are all really catchy and cute, and have this weird sense of whimsy that both contradicts, yet adds to the sad and sometimes dark lyrics. I don't really get the same vibe from any other bands or albums, so April Fools has always had a place in my heart. I recommend this album to virtually everyone I talk to with an interest in bedroom pop. jomapumapu
